Strengthening relationships at P4H England 2024

Alliance team at P4H event

Strengthening relationships at P4H England 2024

We were delighted to be part of P4H England 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham this September. The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with both familiar faces and make new connections.

Our exhibition stand in the NHS Commercial and Procurement Pavilion gave us the opportunity to engage with healthcare buyers and suppliers alongside our NHS colleagues. The Alliance team enjoyed discussions with suppliers that explored new innovative workforce ideas and solutions, and as always, our team value the importance of listening to current risks and challenges from a supplier’s perspective.

In the People and Skills speaking zone, our Operations Director, Will Laing shared key insights on the critical role procurement teams can play in developing workforce solutions and achieving better outcomes. Key takeaways included:

  • Develop links with key ICB members
  • Participate in key workstreams to influence regional strategies
  • Identify and engage with NHS England colleagues
  • Understand and manage workforce demand effectively
  • Engage with suppliers to help drive more innovation and value
  • Develop strong routes to market based on data, planning and robust specifications
  • Support HR teams with contract management throughout the contract lifecycle to meet KPIs

Overall, the event reaffirmed the importance of supply chain engagement and how it can help to drive better value. Whether you are a supplier, or part of NHS procurement, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions.
