The NHS Workforce Alliance is continuing to engage with suppliers and customers to help us create a new framework that will tackle frustrations that are faced when procuring technology.
Engagement began in May 2024 when we published a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for the delivery of a new framework that will support NHS organisations and their partner providers with a compliant route to market for Workforce Technology Systems.
We have held a number of both supplier and customer workshops over the past two months where we’ve received invaluable feedback and suggestions to help put this framework together.
Next steps
We are in the process of engaging with suppliers again to tackle more technical questions – focusing on integration, pricing, implementation and data insights. We will then be looking at hosting additional customer workshops in the coming months to help share more feedback and gather further insights. We will then be able to finalise our tender documentation in time for the new Procurement Act 2023.
Listening to feedback from key stakeholders
After discussing with both the suppliers and NHS organisations, the below lots have been developed to ensure the framework meets requirements. Changes to original Lot structure were made, which now reflects the following lots:
- Lot 1: Workforce Technology Systems
- Lot 2: Services for integration, deployment and interoperability
- Lot 3: Professional Services and Consultancy
- Lot 4: Overlap, User Experience and Support
Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the project so far. We will be sharing more updates about this work over the coming months on our channels. If you’re interested in this area of work and would like to discuss the current landscape within your organisation or across your ICS or ICB, then please get in touch.
