Last month, the NHS Workforce Alliance held two workforce workshops in Newcastle and Sheffield that brought together NHS organisations from across the North East and Yorkshire regions. The full-day workshops focused on sharing insights, learning from each other’s experiences, and identifying common challenges faced in managing temporary staffing spend. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, the workshop aimed to help NHS professionals streamline their staffing strategies, ensuring they can manage resources more effectively.
Both workshops featured a wide range of discussions and updates aimed at equipping attendees with the tools and knowledge they need to overcome the ongoing challenges in workforce management.
The Newcastle workshop featured a packed agenda, with a series of speakers offering a range of valuable insights. Attendees were updated on the latest regional and national developments from Claire Rix at NHS England (North East and Yorkshire region), explored trends and insights presented by NHS Workforce Alliance colleagues, and received an important overview of the latest employment laws from Keith Land at Sintons.
The event also featured interactive roundtable discussions and case studies, showcasing best practices and success stories. These sessions allowed delegates to explore practical solutions and innovative strategies that they can apply in their roles.
The workshop offered an invaluable opportunity for NHS colleagues to network, exchange ideas, and collaborate on workforce management strategies. Attendees left with practical insights and new connections to support their work in managing staffing more effectively.
The Newcastle workshop marked the first time the Alliance has held an event in the North East, which was well attended by NHS colleagues from across the region. We look forward to working more closely with colleagues in the region.
In addition to our Newcastle event, we also hosted the NHS Workforce Alliance Joint Cluster Workforce Workshop in Sheffield. Click here to learn more about the Sheffield event.
