NHS Workforce Alliance nominated for national award in recognition of workforce stakeholder group

We are delighted to announce that NHS Workforce Alliance, in partnership with Maxxima Group, has been named a finalist in the LaingBuisson Awards for Public Private Partnership.

Our work with Maxxima has been recognised for delivering exceptional value and innovation to customers. The partnership has boosted healthcare staffing and service delivery by enhancing the performance of Allied Health Professionals and Healthcare Science Specialisms staff across 21 trusts.

The Alliance initially brought together a collaboration of 19 customers from across the North of England with a shared goal of leveraging the group’s buying power to overcome the challenges associated with working with a disparate supply chain. The aim was to manage and improve the supply of Allied Health Professionals (AHP) and Healthcare Science Specialists (HSS) staff into their trusts, with the help and support of Maxxima as a master vendor service provider.

As well as savings totalling £1.4million, there has also been a demonstrable improvement in service delivery, a positive impact on patient care and an increase in patient safety through improved governance procedures.

Congratulations and a huge thank you to our North of England team for all their hard work on this project. The nomination is well deserved.

The category winner will be announced at the LaingBuisson Awards 2024 on Thursday 21 November at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
