Team overview

The team consists of colleagues from across the NHS Workforce Alliance partner organisations including the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub (EOECPH) and the North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOECPC).

Who leads the team?

Katherine Moore, Alliance Strategic Workforce Procurement Lead, heads the East Midlands regional team. Katherine joined the NHS Workforce Alliance in January 2022, bringing both clinical and procurement experience to the role.

Katherine says:

“My previous clinical experience has always been patient focused. My passion for providing help and support to patients and colleagues has always been my driving force. Along with my procurement experience, I understand the pressures and challenges facing our NHS colleagues which enables me to provide support at both operational and system level for all trusts’ workforce requirements.”

What experience does the team have?

The East Midlands team is dedicated to supporting our NHS trusts and systems with all their workforce needs. We are committed to ensuring that our healthcare workforce is equipped and empowered to deliver the highest quality care.

The team is a blend of clinically qualified staff, workforce and procurement experts, ensuring all aspects of NHS staffing are supported.

How does the team collaborate with other Alliance teams?

As well as focused workforce support for both providers and systems, the East Midlands team works closely with the NHS England Commercial and Temporary Staffing teams to help delivery against productivity and efficiency goals. The team continues to develop networks and close working relationships across the region to support all stakeholders.

What has been a highlight for the team since it was created?

The highlight for the East Midlands team has been the collaboration across multiple NHS organisations in the region to support on the delivery of the NHS England Temporary Staffing Efficiency Programme.

Our attendance and development work with regional networks has enabled us to continue to build close working relationships across the region to support all stakeholders on their workforce needs.
