Team overview
The team consists of colleagues from our NHS Workforce Alliance partner organisation, NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP). Team members include: Senior Category Managers, Andrzej Tarczynski and Victoria Lowe, and Category Managers, Dilek Kale and Tom Harvell.
Who leads the team?
Steph Alexander, Assistant Director for Workforce, heads up the London regional team and joined the NHS Workforce Alliance from the start and has been at NHS LPP since 2014.
Steph’s NHS journey started in 2010 at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (now known as University Hospitals Sussex), in a procurement support role. Following this, Steph worked within the Temporary Staffing (Bank) team managing bank shift allocations and agency management.
After two years within the Bank team, Steph moved back to a position within the procurement function to look at agency contracts and large capital projects, working closely on the new build of the Brighton Hospital site. Having met her now husband in London, she took the leap to join NHS LPP on a fixed term 12-week contract. Eleven years later, Steph is still delivering on all things workforce for London.
“I am extremely passionate about the NHS, not just about cost savings, but about working together as one, ensuring patients are the priority and trusts are safely staffed.
I have seen first-hand the brilliance of nurses, doctors, AHPs, non-medical personnel, etc. This has pushed me to work within the NHS to show my gratitude.”
Steph Alexander, Assistant Director for Workforce
